We all wear masks. Masks that tell others we are "ok". In public most of us pretend we have it together, all is well, but if we could see what others struggle with it would change how we interact with each other.

If we could see that a friend is insecure how would we treat them?

If we could see that a neighbor is afraid what would we do?

If we could see that a family member is depressed what would you say?

The ego is your self-image; it is your social mask; it is the role you are playing. It wants control, and it is sustained by power, because it lives in fear. But love rules over everything. And when we’re able to love ourselves we can remove our masks and stand with the strength of knowing who we are.
